Ingredients

* 3tbsp butter or margarine
* 1.75c uncooked converted long-grain rice
* 2 14oz cans chicken broth
* 1/4 tsp salt
* 6 green onions, chopped
* 1tsp dried basil
* 1/3c pine nuts, toasted
* Garnish: fresh basil sprig

Directions

* Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-hgh heat; add rice, and saute 4 minutes or until golden brown. Combine sauteed rice, broth, and next 3 ingredients in a 4qt slow cooker.
* Cover and cook on high 2 hours or until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender. Stir in pine nuts. Garnish, if desired.
